Dental Assistant Externship

Waco Dental Assistant School 40-hour externship program provides our students with the real-world experience they need to become confident and qualified dental assistants. The externship portion of our course allows our students the opportunity to work under the direct guidance of experienced dental professionals in a local dental office. Students are eligible to begin their externships after class 3. Although we encourage our students to find their own externships, our Student Success Specialists are here to help our students identify potential opportunities in the area and assist with applications.

What Do I Get After Graduation?

We are licensed and regulated by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), so you will receive the same certificates for a Registered Dental Assistant once you pass the state RDA exam as any other school in the state. You’ll receive a Certificate of Completion showing you went through our training program, your BLS (CPR) card, and your RDA license upon passing the RDA exam.

Skyler H.

Hey Y’all! My name is Skyler and I currently work in the Career Services Department. I was a teacher of math, science, and Latin for almost 3 years before joining the team and am loving every second of it! I’m married and have 4 dogs (who are basically my children) so most of my downtime is devoted to those guys. I’m big into video games, tabletop gaming, and really any other activity that allows me to let out my competitive side while avoiding my arch enemy, the sun.
